Welcome to the Rotorua Bridge Club’s website.

Rotorua Bridge Club is one of the strongest bridge clubs in the region, with about 180 members ranging from novices to grandmasters.

Formed in 1955, the club is situated near the centre of town, in a large park just off the highway to Whakatane and Te Puke / Tauranga (Te Ngae Road).

Playing Sessions

There are five playing sessions each week – one on Monday afternoons, one Friday morning and three in the evenings.

Visitors are always very welcome. If you’re in Rotorua alone and would like a partner, please contact a partnership steward – we can nearly always find you someone to play with. Most members use the Acol system, but Standard American is also played by some.

The annual subscription is $65 ($60 if paid on time) and there is a table charge of $3 for each playing session.

Learn Bridge

If you have never played bridge before but you are interested in learning, please do contact us.

We have a comprehensive programme for beginners, with bridge lessons and novice playing sessions which start in April and run through to mid-year, when novices are integrated into club play.

See the Beginners page for a lot more information on taking up bridge.
