Introduction
The Kairangi Bridge Club Inc. provides a community facility for the South-Eastern suburbs
of Wellington City for playing and learning the game of bridge.
The Club is affiliated to New Zealand Bridge (formerly the New Zealand Contract Bridge Association).
Visitors are always welcome.

Players are requested to be seated 10 minutes
before the start of play for all sessions.
Visitors are welcome at any session.

MEMBERSHIP
The membership of the Club consists of the following classes which are entitled to all privileges of membership:
(a) Full Members Fees per year $56 or if paid after 31 January, $66
(Home Club) (includes New Zealand Bridge levy)
(Non Home Club) Fees $40 or after 31 January, $50
(excludes New Zealand Bridge levy)
(b) Honorary Life Members elected by the Club at a General Meeting on the
recommendation of the Committee.
And the following classes with restricted privileges:
(c) Associate Members Fees $20: who shall –
not be eligible to play on more than 10 occasions during a financial year
not have voting rights
be affiliated to New Zealand Bridge Inc. through another club
(d) Social Members Fees $20; who -
may play on any occasion designated as a social event by the Committee
shall not have voting rights
shall not be affiliated to New Zealand Bridge Inc.
VISITORS
Visitors are welcome to play at any session (maximum of four times per year).
NEW MEMBERS
All candidates for election as a full, associate or social member shall be nominated by being proposed by one member and seconded by another member. Every candidate shall sign the form consenting to nomination. The completed nomination form is displayed on the noticeboard for 14 days and then the Committee at their next official meeting accepts, rejects or defers the nomination.
TABLE MONEY
In addition to the annual subscription payable by members, all players at every session pay $5 table money, except Wednesday $4. For the monthly Saturday night sessions, $6 is payable per person. The amount of table money is decided by the Committee.
PAYMENT OF AFFILIATION FEES
A levy is collected annually, as part of the Club subscription, for payment to New Zealand Bridge Inc. - $16 (2010).
Players who are members of two or more clubs select one club as their ‘HOME CLUB’ and pay the levy to that club only.
A member’s ‘HOME CLUB’ is shown on the Master Point printout displayed on the club notice board.
