Help : Updating Results

Step 1

Copy Results From Your Scoring Programme.

NZCBA Programme - Go to Print Preview and Copy (CTRL-A then CTRL-C).
Compass Programme - In the results screen go to "View Results in Notepad Form" and copy.

Step 2

Go to www.contractbridge.net and login using the form provided. You will be directed to either your Control Panel or File Manager, depending on your preferences.

If you see a screen like the one on the right, you have arrived at your Control Panel. Click the File Manager link.

Note: To automatically open the File Manager every time you login, click the checkbox provided.

The File Manager (shown right) includes a list of your files and folders.

Click the _update_results folder link.

The _update_results folder will open and you will see a list of files for each of your club's session times. Click the link of the session you wish to update.

You will see a text box to enter the results into.

If you need to remove previous results, click the "Clear Box" button.

Click the "Paste New Results" button.

You can add comments and other text if you like.

Click the Finish button.

Step 6

Go to your website (you can use the link at the top right of the page) and check that the update has been successful. If necessary, click your browser's Refresh/Reload button to see the latest version.

Tip: If the refresh doesn't work, try a forceful reload:

  • Internet Explorer: Hold down your CTRL key while clicking the Refresh button
  • Firefox/Mozilla: Hold down you Shift key while clicking the Reload button

Notes

  • For normal results publishing, the only files you need to edit are in the _update_results folder. Do not edit files in the results folder unless you are changing the layout of your website.
  • The Preview function does not work when updating results files. You will need to click the Finish button to see the new version.
